28. February 2026 – The first day of the project “Sign Language as a Bridge” was opened with the participation of Ms. Anikó Gyenge, Deputy Head of the Hungarian Embassy in Sarajevo, and the Mayor of Bugojno, who welcomed the participants. With the support of local authorities, sign language was officially recognized in the canton, a significant step for the Deaf community.

The program included presentations by the Czech team on “Views about Deafness,” the Slovak team on sign language, and the Hungarian team on sign language interpreting. The training focused on sharing experiences, developing professional skills, and supporting systematic education, including scientific and technical terminology.
